Preparing for a Clean Xinet Portal Server Installation over a Previous Xinet Installation

If you have a previous version of the Xinet Portal Server installed and want to make a clean install, complete the following commands.

To make a clean install of the Xinet Portal Server:

1.	Remove the Xinet Portal Server software. Complete the following commands:

OS X and Linux: rm -r /usr/etc/portal

2.	Remove the Portal files:

OS X: /library/WebServer/Documents/

Linux: /var/www/html

3.	Open the httpd.conf file.

Linux: /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

OS X: /etc/apache2/httpd.conf

4.	Remove the following entries and save the file.

## begin xinet php module activation

## begin WebNative Portal activation

## additional WebNative Portal activation

5.	Open the /tmp and /var/tmp (or C:\Temp on Windows) directory.

6.	Remove all session files beginning with xpsi or sess.
