/usr/etc/appletalk/nbpd

Description

The nbpd program is a name-compatible program for the old AppleTalk Name Binding Protocol daemon that simply initializes the service registration files at Xinet startup time. It has no other purpose.

Files

/usr/adm/appletalk/names_table

the NBP names database

/usr/adm/appletalk/nbp_pid

contains the process ID of the nbpd that is running.

/usr/adm/appletalk/nbpreg_pids

A list of the processes currently registered.

/usr/etc/appletalk/services

File where nbpd is started.
